Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Tom Askey
He's still young and the jury's still out, but being drafted 188th overall does not argue well for a lengthy NHL career. In university, Askey played four years for Ohio State, and had a disappointing record of 17 wins and 68 losses with an inferior team.

Askey played his first game for the Mighty Ducks on March 13, 1998 but hasn't stuck around very long yet. He played another game in the 1999 playoffs, giving up two goals in half a game played, but since then has kicked around in the IHL and is no longer the property of any NHL team.

His brightest moment came when he was invited to play for the U.S. at the 1997 World Championships in Helsinki, although the team finished sixth.
