David Moravec

Right-winger David Moravec played one game for the Buffalo Sabres in 1999-00. He was a fine goal scorer who was best known for his exploits in the Czech Republic.

Born in Vitkovice, Czech Republic Moravec starred with the local club in the elite division for several years. He was chosen 218th overall by the Sabres in 1998 after he led the Czech league with 38 goals in 51 games. He gave the NHL a brief shot in 1999-00 but opted to return home where he was accustomed to the larger ice surface.
