Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Todd Harvey
The Dallas Stars drafted Todd Harvey with their first pick in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, but before he earned a spot in their line-up he honed his skill with the Detroit Jr. Red Wings and with Team Canada in two World Junior Championship appearances.

During the 1994-95 season, Harvey donned an NHL sweater for the first time, and he played 40 games for the Stars. Harvey went on to play parts of four seasons with Dallas before being traded to the New York Rangers as part of a multi-player deal in the latter stages of the 1997-98 season.

Upon his arrival with the Rangers, Harvey went on to play a mere 68 games with the club before he was on the move again, this time to the San Jose Sharks. Following a short stay in New York, the former Detroit junior, returned to his grinding ways, while chipping in offensively once in a while.

After the better part four seasons with the Sharks, Harvey was limited to a mere 47 games, while seeing some action with the club's AHL affiliate in Cleveland.

Harvey was signed by the Edmonton Oilers in the summer of 2006 and was a regular in the line-up the following season suiting up for 63 games with the club.
