Tomas Vlasak was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fifth round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. After playing the majority of his early career in Europe with stops in the Czech Republic and Finland, Vlasak made his North American and NHL debut in 2000-01 splitting his season with the AHL's Lowell Lock Monsters and Los Angeles Kings.
An offensively gifted player, Vlasak played only one season in North America and only ten games with the Kings before returning to Europe the following year as a member of Ambri-Piotta of the Switzerland National League.
