Eddie Wiseman had a 13-year professional hockey career that included stops in three NHL cities.

In 1930-31 and 1931-32, Wiseman played for the Chicago Shamrocks of the AHA before moving on to the Detroit Red Wings the following year. In 47 games he managed to generate eight goals and eight assists with 16 minutes in penalties. He played two more seasons in Detroit with similar offensive statistics before being sent to the New York Americans in 1935-36.

From 1936 to 1939, Wiseman had three consecutive 30-point seasons for New York. He finished his NHL career playing two-and-a-half years with the Boston Bruins. The 1940-41 Bruins' were winners of the Stanley Cup, sweeping Detroit 4-0 in the final.

In 454 NHL games, Wiseman had 15 goals, 165 assists and 280 points.

Signed as a free agent by Chicago (AHA), October 29, 1930. NHL rights transferred to Detroit from Chicago Shamrocks (AHA) after AHA club owners purchased Detroit (NHL and IHL) franchises, September 2, 1932.
