Defenceman Bob Wilson dressed for one game with the Chicago Black Hawks in 1953-54. During a pro career that lasted nearly 20 years he was a respected competitor in various minor pro and senior leagues.
The native of Sudbury, Ontario played junior with the Galt Black Hawks and was an emergency fill-in for Chicago during later stages of the 1954 season. He then played two years with the senior Belleville TPT's before turning pro in 1956-57 with the IHL's Huntington Hornets.
Before retiring in 1969-70, Wilson suited up for a host of senior and minor pro clubs all over the eastern half of the continent. His rugged play made him an asset and fan favorite in many places, particularly the AHL's Buffalo Bisons.
