Centre Don Willson played parts of two seasons with the Montreal Canadiens in the late 30s. He was better known as a clever offensive player in the minors, Britain and senior hockey circles.

Born in Chatham, Ontario, Willson played junior in the OHA with the Newmarket Redmen and the St. Michael's Majors. After playing the 1934-35 schedule with the senior Oshawa Chevies, he spent two years in the UK with the Earls Court Rangers. Wilson played 18 games for the Canadiens in 1937-38 but was chiefly used by the AHL's New Haven Eagles.

Willson regularly hit double figures in goals scored in the AHL then spent two years in military service during World War II. After the War, he played three years with the senior Toronto Staffords and Marlboros before retiring in 1948.
