Left-winger Doug Trapp played a couple of games for the Buffalo Sabres in 1986-87.He was a top goal scorer in junior who could handle the rough going but his pro career was shortlived.

Born Balcarres, Saskatchewan, Trapp scored 139 goals in four seasons with the WHL's Regina Pats and was chosen 39th overall by Buffalo in 1984. He scored 21 goals as a rookie pro with the Rochester Americans of the AHL in 1985-86 then scored 27 goals the next season and received a recall to the NHL before retiring.
