Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Don Tannahill
Left-winger Don Tannahill spent parts of two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks in the early 70s. He was a decent goal scorer who also produced in the WHA and the minors.

Born in Penetanguishene, Ontario, Tannahill was taken third overall by the Boston Bruins after scoring 48 goals for the OHA's Niagara Falls Flyers and being named to the league's second all-star team. After spending three year in the minors, Tannahill was picked up by the Canucks in the 1972 Intra-League Draft.

As an NHL rookie, Tannahill scored 22 goals while playing on a line with Bobby Schmautz and Andre Boudrias. The next year injuries limited him to 33 games before he joined the WHA's Minnesota Fighting Saints. He scored 23 goals in 1974-75 then found the back of the net 25 times the next year with the Calgary Cowboys. After one more year with the Cowboys he spent most of the 1977-78 season with the senior Barrie Flyers before retiring.
