Left-winger Al Suomi played five games with the Chicago Black Hawks in 1936-37. During his brief pro career he saw most of his game action in the minors and senior hockey circles.

Born in Eveleth, Minnesota, Suomi played senior with the Chicago Baby Ruth squad in 1934-35 before joining Detroit Tool Shop of the MOHL. He was steady during five appearances with the Hawks in 1936-37 then split the remainder of the season between the senior Virginia Americans and the Detroit Pontiacs of the MOHL before retiring.
