Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Jack Stoddard
Right-winger Jack Stoddard played parts of two seasons with the New York Rangers in the early 50s. He was a decent goal scorer who spent the bulk of his career in the minors and various senior leagues.

Born in Stony Creek, Ontario, Stoddard played junior in the OHA with the Hamilton Tigers and the Brantford Lions. In the late 40s he was a top scorer on the AHL's Providence Reds then split the 1951-52 season between the Blueshirts and the minors. In 1952-53 he scored 12 goals and was a useful two-way worker for New York in his only full NHL season. He then spent two more years in the AHL before joining the senior Owen Sound Mercurys. Stoddard retired in 1962 after playing briefly with the senior Woodstock Athletics.
