Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Marian Stastny
As the eldest Stastny brother, Marian played in Czechoslovakia for many years and represented his country in numerous tournaments. Stastny played in the World Championships for many years, the Canada Cup in 1981, and the 1980 Olympics where he watched his younger brothers defect to Canada and join the NHL. Marian did not play for a season, but then followed his siblings to the NHL, signing with the Nordiques.
