Center Rennsion Manners played briefly with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Quakers in the 20s and 30s. He was a solid goal scorer who enjoyed most of his success in the USAHA and the senior hockey level.

Born in Ottawa, Manners excelled in the USAHA with the Pittsburgh Yellowjackets and the Fort Pitt Panthers. In 1926-27 he returned home to play for the senior Montagnards and led the city league in goals two years later.

During the 1929-30 season, Manners scored three goals and was a decent checker for Pittsburgh as an NHL rookie. He became a member of the Quakers when the franchise was relocated In September 1930. Manners only played four games for the dreadful club and spent most of his time with the OPHL's Niagara Falls Cataracts. In 1931 he was reinstated as an amateur and played in a few leagues in the Ottawa area before joining the Montagnards for one last season in 1933-34.
