Lanky defenceman Peter Loob played eight games for the Quebec Nordiques in 1984-85. Most of his success came as a solid domestic and international player in his native Sweden.
Born in Karlstad, Sweden, Loob played three years with the local BK club and scored 16 goals in 1982-83. He also scored three points in as many games for his country at the 1983 World Championships. The next season the young blueliner was a top performer for Sodertalje club and was taken 244th overall by Quebec at the Entry Draft.
Apart from his eight games with the Nordiques, Loob spent most of the 1984-85 season with the AHL's Fredericton Express and the Muskegon Mohawks of the IHL. He decided to return to Sweden the next season and played two more years with Sodertalje before retiring in 1987.
