Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Joe Levandoski
Right-winger Joe Levandoski played eight games with the New York Rangers in 1946-47. He put up decent offensive numbers in a lengthy minor pro career and earned a reputation as a tenacious competitor in the corners.

Born in Cobalt, Ontario, Levandoski played junior with the OHA's Guelph Biltmores. As a rookie pro he scored 26 goals for the Rivervale Skeeters of the Eastern League in 1941-42. He continued to move around the minor leagues before the Rangers summoned him as an injury placement for eight games in 1946-47.

Once he had a taste of the NHL, the hard working forward spent most of the next four seasons in the USHL. In 1950-51 he notched 31 assists and supplied grit to the Kansas City Royals. His solid year earned him a place on the USHL second all-star team. By the early 50s Levandoski was moving through the Western League, AHL and the senior MMHL where he excelled on the Sydney Millionaires. He spent the rest of the decade in the Quebec League and the senior EOHL before retiring in 1959.
