Forward Phil Latreille played four games for the New York Rangers in 1960-61. His pro tenure was short-lived after a high scoring amateur career.

The Montreal native starred at D'arcy McGee high school in 1956-57. He then moved on to Middlebury College of the ECAC Division II conference. After spending his entire freshman year as an observer he amassed 214 goals in three years. He signed a tryout contract with the Blueshirts in March, 1961 after he scored 80 goals in 25 games during his senior year. He retired after playing six games with the EHL's Long Island Ducks in 1961-62.
