Defenceman Ernie Laforce played one game for the Montreal Canadiens in 1942-43. He was best known as a top senior player in Quebec where he played many seasons.
The Montreal native was a fine playmaker on the Verdun Maple Leafs and the hometown St. Pats in the late 30s and early 40s. In 1942-43 he joined the senior Montreal Royals and was recalled for one game by the Habs as an injury replacement. After his brief exposure to the NHL Laforce anchored the Royals' blueline for seven years before retiring in 1950.
