Centre Ron Huston spent two years with the California Golden Seals in the 70s. He was a dangerous offensive player who could score or pass the puck equally well. Most of his success came at the senior level but he also did well in the WHA and the minors.

Born in Manitou, Manitoba, Huston played his junior hockey with the Brandon Wheat Kings. He then spent several years playing senior hockey in the WIHL before joining the signing with California in September, 1972. Huston scored 42 goals for the Salt Lake Golden Eagles in 1972-73 and was named the WHL's top rookie and placed on the second all-star team. He played most of the next two seasons in the NHL with the Seals, His best year was 1974-75 when he registered 33 points and formed a competitive line with Morris Mott and Brian Lavender.

In 1975-76 Huston played his first of two seasons with the WHA's Phoenix Roadrunners. He recorded consecutive 20-goal seasons for the club then returned to the senior Spokane Flyers where he led the WIHL in scoring during the 1977-78 season. Huston retired in 1979 after playing a year in the Pacific League with Spokane.
