Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Bruce Greig
Left-winger Bruce Greig played briefly with the California Golden Seals in the early 70s. He was a bruising competitor in the corners and played most of his pro hockey in the minors and the WHA.

Born in High River, Alberta, Greig played with the AJHL's Drumheller Miners before joining the Medicine Hat Tigers and Vancouver Nationals of the WCJHL. He was taken 114th overall by the Seals in 1973 the spent most of the next three years in the minors. He played nine games over two seasons for California and played a robust style but was passed over in favour of other players.

During the mid-70s he skated for three different WHA franchises and their respective farm clubs. Greig spent his last 5 1/2 years in the minors before retiring in 1984. His best year was 1980-81 when he scored 20 goals for the EHL's Salem Raiders.
