Centre Dallas Gaume played four games for the Hartford Whalers in 1988-89. He was a slick offensive player who scored frequently in college, the AHL and the Norwegian League.

Born in Innistal, Alberta Gaume spent four years at the University of Denver where he scored 78 goals. In 1985-86 he led the WCHA with 67 assists and 99 points and was named to the conference's first all-star team. Apart from his four game trial with Hartford, Gaume was a fine playmaker for four years with the Binghamton Whalers of the AHL. In 1990 he sought a change of scenery with Trondheim IHK of Norway. The slick forward retired in 1992 after leading the Norwegian League with 77 points in 36 games.
