Centre Norm Dussault was born on September 26, 1925 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Dussault made his professional debut with the Baltimore Clippers of the Eastern Hockey League. The following season, 1946-47, Dussault jumped to the Quebec Provincial Hockey League and then, a year later, was with the Montreal Canadiens.

Dussault split the 1947-48 season between the Canadiens and the Victoriaville Tigers of the QPHL. However, by the next year, he was an NHL regular, playing 47 games with the Habs. Dussalt played one more year with Montreal before the Canadiens traded his rights to the Chicoutimi Saguneens of the Quebec Senior Hockey League where he spent his final four seasons. He retired following the 1954-55 season.
