Left-winger Michel Deziel played one playoff game for the Buffalo Sabres in 1974-75. He was an explosive scorer in junior the enjoyed moderate success in the minors.
Born in Sorel, Quebec, Deziel was taken 47th overall by the Sabres in 1974 after he scored 92 goals and 227 points for the local Black Hawks of the QMJHL. The talented forward accumulated 196 goals in four years of junior and was named to the league's first all-star team in 1974.
Deziel enjoyed a solid rookie year as a pro with 27 goals for the Hershey Bears in 1974-75. He was also an injury replacement for one game in that year's Stanley Cup playoffs when Buffalo was in the midst of marching all the way to the finals. Deziel scored 25 goals for Hershey in 1975-76 before injuries hampered his effectiveness. He dropped to 15 goals the next year then played 17 games over the next three years before retiring in 1980.
