Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Joe Contini
Joe Contini was born on January 29th, 1957 in Galt Ontario. Contini's junior career saw him set a Memorial Cup record for points in a game with six in a game that saw his eventual champion Hamilton Fincups down the New Westminster Bruins. Contini's NHL career began in Colorado with the Rockies, who he spent 37 productive games with as a rookie in 1977-78.

Contini was able to score 12 goals that year, but his second season with the Rockies his goal total dipped to just 5 and he spent the entire following campaign in the minors.

With his contract with the Rockies up, Contini signed a free agent contract with the Minnesota North Stars late in the 1979-80 season, but he only got into a single game with Minnesota.

1981-82 ended up being Contini's final year of pro hockey, and he spent it in the minors, splitting his time between the Hershey Bears and the Muskegon Mohawks.
