Born in Arlington, Massachusetts on November 11th, 1939 center Art Chisholm played three seasons with Arlington North Shore High School before beginning his post secondary career. Chisholm went on to Northeastern University, and made the team as a freshman, but did not play. His second year he cracked the roster and made quite an impression, leading the circuit in goal scoring with 40 markers in just 24 games. Chisholm played two more seasons with North Eastern before signing a 3-game amateur try-out contract with the Boston Bruins on March 15th, 1961.
Chisholm played his 3 games with the Bruins at the tail end of the 1960-61 season, but was unable to register a point or make a lasting impression on the Bruins and as a result he was not offered a contract.
