Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Dan Chicoine
After three seasons of junior hockey with his hometown Sherbrooke, Quebec Beavers, right winger Dan Chicoine, born on November 30th, 1957 turned pro with the Phoenix Roadrunners of the Central Hockey League in 1977-78.

Chicoine, who was a 2nd round pick of the Cleveland Barons in 1977 made his NHL debut with them that year. He suited up for six games and didn't register a point.

The Barons merged with the Minnesota North Stars that summer, so his next NHL appearance, the following year, came as a North Star. Chicoine played just one game for Minnesota with the rest of his season spent with the Oklahoma City Stars where he tallied 26 goals.

In 1979-80, his second year in the Minnesota organization, he got a longer NHL look, suiting up for 24 games and registering his only NHL points. Chicoine scored a goal and added two assists in his time with the North Stars, but the next year he was back in the minors for the whole campaign.

The North Stars traded Chicoine to the Quebec Nordiques on June 9th, 1981, but he wouldn't get back up to the NHL level.

His final season came in 1982-83 when he played 21 games for the American Hockey League's Sherbrooke Jets.
