Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Dave Cameron
Cameron was a rare breed in that he was a modern player who came out of a Canadian university and the East Coast, attending his native University of P.E.I. and being drafted 135th overall by the New York Islanders in 1978.

In 1981, he was traded to Colorado before ever playing a game in New York, playing full-time for the Rockies in 1981-82 and scoring eleven goals. He moved with the team when they became the New Jersey Devils the year after, though he split the season between the NHL and the minors. A year later, he was out of the NHL for good.
