Brother of Tony and a native of Vancouver, Jim Camazzola nevertheless made the most of dual citizenship and has spent the bulk of his career in Europe, primarily Italy.
He was drafted a lowly 196th by Chicago in 1982 and made his first appearance with the Hawks two years later, appearing in a single game. He played two more games in 1986-87, but that was it for the NHL.
Camazzola wasted little time in the minors. After a year in the AHL he moved to Italy to pursue a career that has dated 13 seasons, far from the NHL but successful in its own right. He played for Italy at the 1992 World Championships and represented that country at both the 1992 and 1994 Olympics, later moving to Germany to play.
