Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Tim Armstrong
After an excellent junior career with the Toronto Marlies in which he averaged 83 points, Armstrong was drafted a lowly 211th overall by his hometown Leafs in 1985. He finished off his junior career with a few games for the Leafs farm team in Newmarket, and the following season stayed the year with the Saints, scoring 19 goals.

Although he played the next two years with Newmarket, his one callup lasted just eleven games. His only NHL games came with the Leafs on December 29 and 31, 1988 and January 1, 6, 7, 9, 11, 21, 25, 28, 30, 1989 during which time he scored a goal.

The Leafs allowed his contract to expire, and not getting any better offers he ventured to Europe for a few games before returning to the AHL. He ended his career at years end, in 1991.
