Brad Zavisha was born January 4, 1972 in Hines Creek, Alberta. A product of the Western Hockey League, Zavisha was the 3rd selection, 43rd overall, of the Quebec Nordiques in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft.

A First Team East All-Star defensman in 1992 while as a member of the Portland Winter Hawks and Lethbridge Broncos, Zavisha finished his WHL career with the Broncos after stays in Seattle and Portland.

After being traded by the Quebec Nordiques in March 1992 to the Edmonton Oilers, Zavisha missed the entire 1992-93 season after suffering a knee injury at the Oilers training camp. He played his only two NHL games the following season while spending the majority of that season as a member of the Cape Breton Oilers of the AHL.

Zavisha began the 1994-95 season with Cape Breton before being traded to the Philadelphia Flyers where he spent the end of the 1994-95 season and the beginning of the 1995-96 season with the Hershey Bears of the AHL. On the move of again in 1995-96, Zavisha found himself with the Michigan K-Wings of the now-defunct IHL before finishing the season with ESV Kaufbeuren in Germany.

When the 1996-97 season came around, Zavisha found himself in England as a member of the Manchester Storm. He returned to North America for the 1997-98 season as a member of the Birmingham Bulls of the East Coast Hockey League.

At the end of the 1997-98 season, Brad Zavisha had played in two career NHL games, without recording a single point.
