Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Ryan Hughes
Centre Ryan Hughes played three games for the Boston Bruins in 1995-96. Apart from his short stay in the NHL he was an above average playmaker in college and the minor leagues.

The Montreal native starred as a Midget with the Lac St-Louis club in 1988-89. He then spent four years at Cornell University and was drafted 22nd overall by the Quebec Nordiques in 1990. The talented pivot also represented Canada when they finished a disappointing sixth at the 1992 World Junior Championships.

After spending his first two pro seasons on the AHL's Cornwall Aces, Hughes was signed as a free agent by the Bruins in October 1995. He played three games in Beantown in 1995-96 and also scored 22 goals for the Providence Bruins of the AHL. He retired in 1997 after splitting the season between the Chicago Wolves and Quebec Rafales of the IHL.
