Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Mario Thyer
Center Maruio Thyer played five games for the Minnesota North Stars in 1989-90. He was a decent goal scorer in college and the minors though he couldn't duplicate his success in the NHL.

Born in Montreal, Thyer signed as a free agent with Minnesota in 1989 after his sophomore year at the University of Maine. In 1989-90 he played five games for the North Stars and scored 19 goals for the IHL's Kalamazoo Wings. He spent three more full seasons in the minors then retired in 1993 after playing three games with the AHL's Portland Pirates.
