Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Chris Taylor
Born in Stratford, Ontario, Chris Taylor spent a year with the Junior B Stratford Cullitons before joining the London Knights in 1988-89. He was chosen 27th overall by the New York Islanders in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft and topped the 100-point mark in each of his last three junior seasons. He played his first three pro seasons in the AHL and IHL before dressing for a handful of games with the Islanders in 1995 and 1996.

Taylor scored 16 points in 22 games for the IHL's Utah Grizzlies when he helped them win the Turner Cup in 1996. Two years later, he signed as a free agent with the Boston Bruins and played 37 games in 1998-99 but was unable to carve a permanent place for himself in the lineup and spent most of his playing time with the club's AHL affiliate in Providence and a brief stop in the IHL with Las Vegas.

In the summer of 1999, Taylor signed as a fee-agent with the Buffalo Sabres and upon his arrival with the organization, has split his time between the AHL's Rochester Americans and the Sabres.
