Left-winger Mike Stevens played a few games for four different NHL clubs in the 80s and 90s. He was a rugged competitor who could contribute on offense and physically.
Born in Kitchener, Ontario Stevens was chosen 58th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in 1984 while he was in the midst of a solid junior career with the OHL's Kitchener Rangers. Over the next five years he was a regular in the AHL and also saw action briefly with the Boston Bruins, New York Islanders and Toronto Maple Leafs.
During the 90s Stevens recorded five 20-goal seasons in the minors and piled up hundreds of penalty minutes. In 1997 he sought a change of scenery with Germany's Schwenningen Wild Wings.
