Right-winger Igor Nikulin dressed for one playoff game for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 1996-97. He possessed good mobility and size which allowed him to win battles for the puck and take advantage of scoring situations.
Born Cherepovets, USSR Nikulin played for the local Severstal club where he scored 59 goals in four seasons. He was selected 107th overall by Anaheim in 1995 and played his first full minor pro season in 1996-97. That year the skilled forward scored 27 goals for the AHL's Baltimore Bandits and suited up for one game when Anaheim reached the second round of the playoffs. Nikulin was a regular with the AHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in 1997-98 and 1998-99.
