Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Paul MacDermid
After three high-scoring seasons with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League, Paul MacDermid got his first taste of NHL action in 1981-82, spending parts of four seasons with the Hartford Whalers before catching on full-time.

While bouncing between Hartford and its AHL affiliate, MacDermid had been chosen as the Binghampton Whalers' unsung player of the year, earning the Frank Keyes Award, and also won the True Grit Award for his dedication and hard work. MacDermid's NHL career took him from Hartford to Winnipeg, then on to Washington and finally Quebec, where he suffered a back injury that would eventually end his career after the 1994-95 season.
