Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Mark Lawrence
Right-winger Mark Lawrence was a forceful power forward in junior and the minors. Since 1994-95 he has been an effective role player with the Dallas Stars and New York Islanders where his 6'4" frame was an asset.

Born in Burlington, Ontario, Lawrence spent four years in OHL with three different franchises. After scoring 27 goals for the Detroit Ambassadors in 1990-91, he was chosen 118th overall by the Minnesota North Stars. He was a reliable scorer in the minors during his first three pro seasons before he was recalled for a few games by the Dallas Stars.

After two solid years in the IHL with the Michigan K-Wings, Lawrence signed as a free agent with the New York Islanders. His best year was 1998-99 when he notched 14 goals and averaged nearly 15 minutes of ice time per game.
