Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Eric Nickulas
The native of Hyannis, Massachusetts was a top goal scorer for three different high schools. He was chosen 99th overall by the Boston Bruins in 1994 after scoring 46 goals in 25 games for Cushing Academy. The skilled pivot scored 70 goals in three seasons at the University of New Hampshire before turning pro in 1997-98.

Nickulas scored 22 goals in his rookie pro season with the IHL's Orlando Solar Bears. The next year he made it into two NHL contests with Boston and was a 31-goal shooter for the Providence Bruins of the AHL. The youngster recorded 11 points in 20 games for Boston in 1999-00 but remained a fixture on the Providence roster through the end of the 2000-01 season. Following three seasons in the Boston organization, Nickulas joined the St. Louis Blues in 2001-02.

Over the course of the next three seasons, Nicklaus split his time between the Blues and their AHL affiliate in Worcester before he was claimed off waivers by the Chicago Blackhawks in the latter stages of the 2003-04 season.

Following a season in the AHL with the Norfolk Admirals, Nickulas was re-acquired by the Boston Bruins in the summer of 2005.
