Kerry Huffman

Kerry Huffman was selected in the 1st round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft, 9th overall, by the Philadelphia Flyers. He played two years of major junior hockey with the Guelph Platers of the OHL. He dressed for nine games with the Flyers in 1986-87, before joining the club on a full-time basis the next season, when he played in 52 games and scored six goals and 23 points.

Huffman remained with the Flyers for six years before moving on to the Quebec Nordiques in 1992-93 as part of the huge Eric Lindros trade that included Peter Forsberg, Mike Ricci, Chris Simon, Ron Hextall, Steve Duchesne, and $15 million in cash.

Midway through the following season he was traded to the Ottawa Senators where he remained for almost four years before being traded back to the Philadelphia Flyers. Huffman played his final four NHL games as a Flyer during the 1995-96 season.

Traded to Quebec by Philadelphia with Steve Duchesne, Peter Forsberg, Mike Ricci, Ron Hextall, Philadelphia's 1st round choice (Jocelyn Thibault) in 1993 Entry Draft, $15,000,000 and future considerations (Chris Simon and Philadelphia's 1st round choice (later traded to Toronto - later traded to Washington - Washington selected Nolan Baumgartner) in 1994 Entry Draft, July 21, 1992) for Eric Lindros, June 30, 1992. Claimed on waivers by Ottawa from Quebec, January 15, 1994. Traded to Philadelphia by Ottawa for future considerations, March 19, 1996. Signed as a free agent by Las Vegas (IHL), October 12, 1996. Signed as a free agent by Grand Rapids (IHL), October 16, 1997.
