Defenceman Justin Hocking played one game with the Los Angeles Kings in 1993-94. The 6'4", 205 pounder was a tough enforcer in his own zone who ended up spending most of his pro career in the minors.
Born in Stettler, Alberta, Hocking was chosen 39th overall by the Kings in 1992 after he enjoyed a solid rookie season with the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL. He returned for three more years of junior in Spokane and Medicine Hat and was named to the WHL east second all-star team in 1994. Late in the 1993-94 season he dressed for one NHL game and three IHL contests with the Phoenix Roadrunners.
Hocking played in four minor pro leagues during the 1994-95 season before settling down in the AHL. By the late 90s' he was an imposing force on the Worcester Ice Cats' blueline and hoped to gain another shot at the NHL. Hocking stayed in the minors through the 2000-01 season before seeking a change in scenery with the Manchester Storm of the British League.
