Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Johan Davidsson
Centre Johan Davidsson spent three years in Sweden and one season in Finland before he came to North America to join the National Hockey League. Davidsson, a 1994 Mighty Ducks draft pick came to Anaheim in 1998 and cracked the roster out of training camp.

Davidsson played 64 games for the Ducks and scored three goals and eight points while spending just nine games in the minors. The following year Davidsson spent the bulk of his time in American Hockey League, but also played five games with the Ducks before a March 11th 2000 trade sent him to Long Island.

Davidsson played 14 games with the Islanders and scored two goals and six points. When the Islanders elected not to renew his contract that summer, Davidsson became a free agent.

Though the Vancouver Canucks signed him on September 6th, 2000 he didn't make the team and soon found himself back in Finland playing for the Espoo Blues. The following year he returned home to play in the Swedish Elite League.

On the international scene, Davidsson is a three-time member of Sweden's World Junior team (1994, 1995 and 1996) and has twice represented his homeland at the World Championships (2002 and 2004).
