Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Peter Douris
Peter Douris was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, 30th overall, out of the University of New Hampshire.

In two seasons of NCAA hockey, Douris scored 46 goals and 39 assists for 85 points in 80 games. After playing 33 games with the Canadian National Team in 1985-86, he joined the Jets for eleven games that year. He played in just ten games with Winnipeg over the next two years, spending the balance of his time in the minors with the Sherbrooke Canadiens and Moncton Hawks.

In 1989-90, he signed with the Boston Bruins, appearing in 36 games and picking up 15 points. He played several more years in the Bruins' organization but was never able to properly fit in to their scheme.

Douris signed with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks for the start of the 1993-94 season. He dressed for 74 games and scored 34 points. After 31 games in the 1995-96 season, Douris' NHL career came to an end after 321 games. In that span he had 54 goals and 67 assists for 121 points.

As of 2001-02, Douris continues to play professionally in the German Elite League for Munich.
