Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Alain Cote
Alain Cote was born April 14, 1967 in Montmagny, Quebec. Drafted in the second round, 31st overall by the Boston Bruins in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft, Cote spent four seasons in the QMJHL with the Quebec Remparts and Granby Bisons.

In his first season of professional hockey, Cote appeared in 32 games with the Boston Bruins and three games in the AHL with the Moncton golden Flames. Those 32 games would end up being the most Cote would spend in a single NHL season throughout his tenure as a pro hockey player. Over his well-travelled career, Cote appeared with the Boston Bruins (198586 to 198889), Washington Capitals (198990), Montreal Canadiens (199091 to 199192), Tampa Bay Lightning (199293) and Quebec Nordiques (199394). His NHL career saw a total 119 games in which he recorded 20 points and racked up 124 penalty minutes.

In addition to the NHL, Cote competed in the QMJHL, AHL, IHL, and QSPH and spent time lacing up his skates in Slovenia, Japan, Germany and Finland.
