Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Rob Cimetta
Rob Cimetta was born in Toronto, Ontario on February 15th, 1970. Cimetta spent three seasons with the Ontario Hockey League's Toronto Marlboros, highlighted by his third, when he led the league in goals and was named to Canada's World Junior Championship club.

The Boston Bruins made Cimetta their first round draft pick in 1988 and during the '88-89 season Cimetta made his debut in Boston black and gold. Cimetta played seven games with Boston and scored two goals. The following year, his first full season as a professional, Cimetta played 47 games and recorded a career high 8 goals and 17 points.

In November of the 1990 the Bruins traded Cimetta to his hometown Maple Leafs and he played 25 games with them that season. He split his time that year between Toronto and their farm club in Newmarket. The following season the winger was again unable to stick with the Leafs and spent half of that season, and all of the next one with the Leafs American Hockey League affiliate.

After spending the 1993-94 campaign with the International Hockey League's Indianapolis Racers, Cimetta headed to Germany to continue his career.

Cimetta spent the final six years of his hockey career in Germany, splitting his time between the Mannheim Eagles and the Berlin Capitals.
