Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Jan Caloun
How's this for a record? Caloun scored on his first four shots in the NHL. And even then, that only tied the record!

He was drafted by San Jose 75th overall in 1992, and although his NHL life was short he was proof that hockey careers can be long and successful outside the big league. He began by playing in the World Juniors in 1992 for Czechoslovakia (fifth place) and the World Championships the next year (Bronze medal) before joining the Sharks for 1995-96.

Caloun played most of that season in the minors, but in just eleven games he had eight goals, not enough to merit a full-time job with the team. As a result, he moved back to Europe and helped the Czech Republic win a gold medal at the 1998 Nagano Olympics while playing for Finland during the season. He won another gold at the 1999 Worlds and has stayed in Finland ever since.

The next year he was traded to Columbus but has yet to return to North America.
