Centre Luciano Borsato played parts of five seasons with the Winnipeg Jets in the 1990s. He was at his best when utilizing his speed and creative talents on the power play.

The native of Richmond Hill, Ontario was selected 135th overall by the Winnipeg Jets after scoring 56 points in 37 games for the Bramalea Blues of the OJHL. The next year he accepted a scholarship to Clarkson University where he enjoyed four solid years. The best of these was 1987-88 when he registered 44 points in 33 games and was voted on to the ECAC second all-star team and named an NCAA East second team all-American. Borsato toiled in the AHL and played a year with Tappara Tampere in Finland before arriving in the NHL.

Borsato scored 15 goals in 56 games as a rookie in 1991-92, including five with the extra man. He duplicated his 15-goal output the next season then played a more defensive role in 1993-94. After spending most of the 1994-95 season in the AHL, Borsato represented Canada at the 1995 World Championships. He played three years in Germany with Kolner Haie before retiring in 1998.
