Canada beat Switzerland 2-1 and the US won 3-0 over Germany to set up the anticipated final. The Canadians reclaimed their position as World Champions by a 2-1 score. In reaching the gold medal contest, Canada beat Germany 6-0 and France 9-0, before edging the Swiss 2-1 in the semi-finals.
