There would be no Canada-US showdown at the 1935 tournament in Davos, Switzerland. The Winnipeg Monarchs represented Canada while the US decided not to send a team. The Monarchs were led by Roy Hinkel, Vic Lindquist, and Romeo Rivers. These three men all won gold for Canada at the 1932 Olympics. Once again, there was little competition for the team as they went undefeated in seven games and outscored their opponents 44-7. They were led by goalie Art Rice-Jones who had a superb goals against average of 1.00. The Monarchs also featured two sets of brothers, Tony and Albert Lemay, and Joe and Romeo Rivers, along with Cam Shewan, Norm Yellowlees, Archie Creighton, and coach Scotty Oliver.
