Czechoslovakia won its second World title in the six-team final round robin tournament that started with ten teams. The champions lost only one game in the tournament, a 2-0 setback against the United States. The team was led by Bohumil Modry, Premsyl Hajny, Josef Trousilek, Vaclav Rozinak, Vladimir Zabrodsky, Stanislav Konopasek, Vladimir Kobranov, and Vladimir Bouzek, Miloslav Charouzd and Zdenek Pycha.
