Canada, as represented by the Edmonton Mercurys, were again the champions. This team was, in fact, a precursor to the 1952 Canadian entry at the Olympics, featuring stars Billy Dawe, Al Purvis, Don Gauf, and Jack Davies. The Mercurys had a spotless 7-0 record including an impressive 5-1 win over the United States. The Canadians were praised for their clean and sportsmanlike play to go with their superior skill, all too evident as they outscored their opponents 88-6 in the tournament. The rest of the team's roster included Jimmy Kilburn, Jack Manson, Wilbur Delainey, Doug MacAuley, Ab Newsome, Marsh Darling, Pete Wright, Hassey Young, Don Stanley, Harry Allen, Bob David, and coach Jimmy Graham.
