Canada was represented by the Kimberley Dynamiters who went undefeated at the tournament. In that time, last-minute replacement goalie Ken Campbell had six shutouts, including an important 3-0 win over the British entry (which still featured many Canadian-born players). The only blemish on the record was a stunning 1-1 tie with France in the second round after having trounced them 12-0 in qualifying play. Only a close 2-1 win over the Swiss gave the Dynamiters a scare as they then went on to shut out the Germans 5-0 in the final game to claim gold.
